No claim on God

Our faith is the heart of the matter when it comes to our salvation. None of us, whatever our background, has any claim on God. Good is the sovereign master. In today’s liturgy, we are presented with two individuals, both foreigners, but were justified on account of their faith. What wins God’s approval is surrender and trust in Him. It is such surrender and trust that make us heirs to the Kingdom of God.
