Christ the King

In the Hebrew Bible the office of king was set up as a means for transforming a group of people into a society whose members would view their responsibility for one another as an expression of their responsibility to God’s covenant. To proclaim Jesus, the Christ as King of the universe, extends this responsibility, today, to include all humankind.
